- A general rule of thumb is to clean from top to bottom: start with the top of the fridge, the highest cabinets and the range hood and work your way down, finishing with sweeping, taking out the trash and mopping the floor. When getting started, fill the sink with hot soapy water to soak any pesky items like the microwave turntable, crumb trays or a refrigerator drawer. Once you’re done with the items in the sink, Drain the sink and rinse it out with hot water. Wipe out the basin with a mild abrasive cleanser and a microfiber cloth then rinse it out with hot water.

- Another problem to address is the presence of flies in your kitchen. If you’ve got flies, you have a problem. These annoying little pests can carry harmful bacteria. There are some remedies you can try to get rid of the flies. Step one is clean and dry any damp areas and to get any old fruit, spoiled foods or old trash out of your home. Next, set up a mixture of soap and apple cider vinegar in a small cup or jar. The flies will be attracted to the mix and will get trapped in the solution.
